Energy Development

Natural gas drilling western Wyoming

WWC’s client base spans the gamut of project proponents from small mine permitting for individual gravel pits to energy developments for some of the largest corporations in the world.

WWC has assisted a number of clients in the energy industry with initial phases of development.  We conduct baseline surveys over large potential areas and provide final site selection and infrastructure options that reduce on-site impacts to wildlife and their habitats, as well as being conducive to reclamation in the future.

WWC has provided wildlife and rangeland surveys, biological assessments and evaluations for many types of energy fields, transmission corridors and exploration efforts.  WWC principal and senior ecologist Matt Holloran earned his doctoral degree studying the effects of natural gas development on sage-grouse populations--WWC uses knowledge gained through these efforts to drive our siting and mitigation planning efforts in an empirically-based fashion.
